Illinois District Turners

The Illinois District Ladies Auxiliary
The Illinois District Ladies Auxiliary built their Club House  circa 1933.  Shortly thereafter, the front porch was added.  This porch was used on nice summer days for the ladies to gather and socialize.  They held many activities there, including Card Parties.

Sometime in the '50's the Junior wing was added to the Building.  This was used for many years by the Juniors.  It is now being used as a HandiCraft house.

The Ladies hosted the National Gym Camp at their building for the years it existed.  This helped provide a great deal of revenue to rehab the facility.

At the present day, in addition to holding meetings, it is being used for a social Thursday evening.  There are no dues to belong.  Money is raised by fund raising.

The present slate of officers is:  President, Ann Trankle;  Vice-President, Sue Knisley;  Secretary, Barbara Hugi;  Treasuer, Dee Schnell.

Past Presidents thru the years has included:  Louise Ellinger, Ruth Boysen, Dorothy Garfinkle,  Alvina Friese, Louise Rayner, Margaret Carlson, Arlene Salzman, Barbara Hugi and Jerry Malone.
