COTTAGE OWNERS -- The drinking age limit at all Camp facilities is 21 years of age - same as state and federal laws.  Our bartenders are Basset certified and have been instructed to card anyone they feel looks under 30 years of age.  We suggest you carry your driver's license (not picture copies) with you to Camp events and if asked to provide an ID, do so.  To not provide an ID when requested means you will not be served.

We gladly welcome your furry pets to Turner Camp and encourage you to exercise them around the premises.  We do need you to pick up after your pets.  We have been having a real problem on the A-field with animal droppings and our kids using the Afield for daily activities.  Please bring a bag with you and clean up after your pet.  We have garbage cans around Camp where you can deposit your pets' waste.  Also, no dogs allowed at the Camp Fires and other Sanctioned Camp activities.  While you may love your pets, not everyone is comfortable around animals and we ask you respect their feelings as well.  Thank you

After further discussion within the Camp Committee, we have voted to allow parking along the road in front of the tennis courts.  The pool parking lot continues to be overcrowded, in spite of efforts to limit parking in that lot.  To ensure the cottage owners in that area and Beer Mountain have accessible parking, the area from the Pool Parking lot over the road to the kennel is now designated parking.

PENNY SOCIAL - With the long holiday weekend over, we will now start collecting items for Penny Social. Yay!!  Please leave your items outside the single door leading into the dining room. Not in the candy store area. We will be checking daily for your drop offs. We are also asking, please no drop offs the day of (if possible). Penny Social is Friday evening 7/18. any questions contact Barb Litza 847-366-5208 or Chris Mostyn 847-361-3367.  Thanks!!

TURNER APPAREL - ITC Online Store: Thank you to everyone who purchased items from the ITC online store. If you chose group pick up, your items are ready! Please plan to pick them up this Friday, June 11 in the candy store from 7:30-8 pm or Saturday at the pool prior to the Water Show. If you cannot pick them up, please send someone to pick them up for you. Thank you again! If you missed your chance to order or see something that you missed, the store will be opening again later this summer with some additional items.

COTTAGE OWNERS -- If your cottage is not up around the pool/tennis courts or Beer Mountain, we ask you to refrain from driving and parking in the pool parking lot to drop your kids off.  This is one of our smaller lots in Camp and the cottage owners in that area don't have enough room to park their cars.  Camp is about a Sound Mind and a Sound Body, let's focus more attention on the later of the 2.
- We would like to recognize and thank the effort above and beyond by a couple of individuals.  Turner Camp is made up of volunteers and will only survive if we get that volunteerism. This week we would like to recognize; Patti Richter and Kaitlyn Clements for the wonderful job they did in decorating and painting the candy store.  It’s a must see.  We would also like to thank David Zweifel for the countless hours he has spent at the pool getting it ready for all of us to enjoy. David has been working on the pool non-stop since his return from AZ. When you see these individuals, please stop and thank them for making Turner Camp a better place for all of us.
- The Camp Committee has approved additional authorized parking on the back road, in front of cottage #293 (Janecki/Garand).  There is room for probably 10 cars over on that side of the road.  It is on a first come - first serve basis.  With the enforcement of parking rules and regulations, we are trying to expand parking options, make it as convenient for the cottage owners as possible and still keep the beauty of Turner Camp by not having cars parked everywhere.
- With the season  in place now - it is important to remind everyone of the Rules and Regulations of persons under 18 in a cottage overnight.  The Rules state: Children under the age of (18) are not allowed to occupy any cottage or building on Turner Camp property unless a responsible adult member is staying with them.  Please help us enforce this rule for safety purposes, Thank you.

KITCHEN COMMITTEE  - The Kitchen Committee at Camp is seeking volunteers with various skills to continue food service and logistics planning after the current Chair's retirement.

YOUTH - Hello Turners! It’s Keith and Ally, your ITC Program directors. The second week of program has been a blast, with up to 70 campers this Week! The second week of program is an exciting one, Rock Concert! All of our campers have been working so hard all week long during program and lessons to perfect each of their acts. Along with that, they’ve been having fun playing court sports such as Pickleball, Tennis, and Nitroball, and even having a special day by going to the pool! Our swim lessons have been going smoothly and all the campers have been getting better and better each day, especially since so many moved up this week! To celebrate our Week 1 Campers of the week, congrats to Johnny Creevy, Addie Langraff, Maddie Sandine, and Declan Peterson! And to our Swimmer’s of the Week, congrats to Colt Bontrager, Lilly Emory, CJ Power, Colton Koester, and Quinn Sandine! As a reminder, we have after program activities every single day of the week! Dear Cottage Owners - as we embark on another season at Camp we are reminding everyone of the Rules and Regulations (R&Rs) about parking in undesignated areas and speeding through Camp.  The Parking R&Rs have been updated and approved by the District Council, so please make certain you review them (attached) and abide by them.  The decision was to add some clarity and a fine after an initial notification.   No one at Camp wants to act as a police officer, so please follow the rules and it will make it easier on everyone.  Abiding by the Parking R&Rs means you have no concerns by these updated changes.  The opportunity to request handicap parking privileges still exists.  You will need to submit a letter from your doctor stating medical necessity and a state handicap parking placard.  The application needs to go to the Camp Committee for review.  Submit the form to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. and once the request is reviewed, you will hear back from the District Secretary.

Regarding Speeding through Camp - again we need to SLOW DOWN.  The recommended speed through Camp is 10 mph but you need to be ever vigilant as the kids will be coming out soon.  Practice good driving habits even when the kids are not present, build muscle memory, that when you drive in either of Camp's gates, you are going 10 mph.  Please also practice focused driving, keep your phones in your pockets or purses until you arrive at your Camp destination.  We are all fortunate to have such a unique place as Camp, let's not jeopardize it with fast or distracted driving.

CREDIT CARD ACCEPTANCE - ITC is introducing credit card acceptance with a 3% surcharge, urging you to use cash or ticket books for convenience and safety, and informing you of upcoming events, including the Illinois District Bowling Tournament and a golf outing.
Note

Always bring cash or a ticket book for payments, aware of the 3% surcharge on credit card payments.

Consider placing a bet or getting a friend to place a bet for you at Eiche Wings Special & the Grill.

REMIND APP – Anyone interested in being added to our ITC Remind App, you can send a message to 81010 then send this message @bd2add.  Please only one member per family as there is a limit as to how many members can be on. Thank you, Barb Litza
