COTTAGE OWNERS - we are just completing the first week of the Youth program and it was great to hear the voices on the A-field and see the bodies in the swimming pool. Please refer to the bulletin for upcoming events and your calendar for the longer view of events. We have a couple topics to cover under the Camp Committee section -
- If your cottage is not up around the pool/tennis courts or Beer Mountain, we ask you to refrain from driving and parking in the pool parking lot to drop your kids off. This is one of our smaller lots in Camp and the cottage owners in that area don't have enough room to park their cars. Camp is about a Sound Mind and a Sound Body, let's focus more attention on the later of the 2.
- We would like to recognize and thank the effort above and beyond by a couple of individuals. Turner Camp is made up of volunteers and will only survive if we get that volunteerism. This week we would like to recognize; Patti Richter and Kaitlyn Clements for the wonderful job they did in decorating and painting the candy store. It’s a must see. We would also like to thank David Zweifel for the countless hours he has spent at the pool getting it ready for all of us to enjoy. David has been working on the pool non-stop since his return from AZ. When you see these individuals, please stop and thank them for making Turner Camp a better place for all of us.
- The Camp Committee has approved additional authorized parking on the back road, in front of cottage #293 (Janecki/Garand). There is room for probably 10 cars over on that side of the road. It is on a first come - first serve basis. With the enforcement of parking rules and regulations, we are trying to expand parking options, make it as convenient for the cottage owners as possible and still keep the beauty of Turner Camp by not having cars parked everywhere.
- With the season in place now - it is important to remind everyone of the Rules and Regulations of persons under 18 in a cottage overnight. The Rules state: Children under the age of (18) are not allowed to occupy any cottage or building on Turner Camp property unless a responsible adult member is staying with them. Please help us enforce this rule for safety purposes, Thank you.
Our first Cottage Owners meeting is this Sunday 6/22 (new cottage owners 9:00 and existing cottage owners 10:00). We cut down the cottage owers meetings to only 2 per season, a June and August meeting. We look forward to seeing you at the Raths for the meetings.
YOUTH -Your ITC Program's first week was a success with 50 kids participating, and upcoming events include a staff breakfast and a rock concert; follow on social media to see the campers in action.
