Camp is now open and the Youth program is in full swing. SLOW DOWN when you enter the gates to Camp. Be alert to your surroundings and the presence of children and NO PARKING at your cottages. The Curfew is also in full effect, refer to your Rules and Regulations book or the Turner Website (illinoisturners.org) for those curfew times.
CAMP COMMITTEE - We continue to have problems with parking by the cottages and as a result will begin sending letters to first time violators. If the letter notification doesn't work, we will implement fines for future infractions. The Camp Committee does NOT want to have to police this issue, but it continues in spite of multiple requests to stop parking. Everyone has been given amnesty, so it is a clean slate. Don't park by your cottage and you won't get a letter. Thank you for respecting this ITC rule and no further action will occur.
This weekend we will have our Youth Concert on Friday and Tom's Special Dinner at 6:00 and the Class of "68" live entertainment on Saturday. Come on down and join in the fun and meet up with new and old friends. See you around Camp - Camp Committee
FROM THE KITCHEN - Restaurant - this week's Fish Fry Special is a grilled Maxwell Street Polish Sausage Sandwich with grilled onions & sport peppers. Saturday night Tom Webb's crew will be serving up Chicken Fried Steak and the regular grill items. Following the dinner will be the Class of 68 Band. And don't forget the Tweenie Pancake Breakfast and raffle on the 4th of July in the dining hall. Thanks, Scott

A few notes, please note that tips are only allowed in cash moving forward, the bartenders can no longer accept coupons as tips. Also please remember that we should not be drinking and driving around camp. If you plan to partake in a few cold ones, make sure you are being safe and walking back to your cottage. Driving through camp while intoxicated puts everyone at risk - including yourself. Thank you for your attention! Bartenders will be ID'ing as per our usual procedures, please be sure to bring your ID to the Rath’s.
POOL HOURS – I understand many have been asking about pool hours. Pool hours for 2024 Season are: Monday - Friday. 11am-6pm and Saturday & Sunday 10am-7pm
YOUTH - We had a great start to Program this summer! This week on the field, the kids worked on Volleyball; they learned all of the skills, such as bumping, setting, and spiking down at the Sugar Bowl. We had a fun water day on Thursday to try to combat the heat. We played water games like Drip, Drip, Drop and Pirates & Land Lubbers! Campers of the Weeks were Zoe Graham, Dominick Pucinski, Delaney Flowers, and Daniel Buckley. At the pool, we cooled off in nice water and played lots of games, such as Uncle Sam, Jump the Flag, and Sharks & Minnows. The campers did so good listening and improving their swimming this week. The Swimmers of the Week were Everett Livingston, Michael Creevy, Liliana Rogowski, Quinn Schiller, and Quinn Sandine. Thank you, campers, for being so great at the pool!
Thanks to campers, parents, staff, and Youth Committee for making week 1 go so smoothly!
We want to give a huge thank you to anyone who donated materials for the Handicraft house. We appreciate your generosity! The campers will have so much fun doing crafts during Program.
